The ladder has a shrine carved like a dragon, its two eyes are sapphires and you detect magic on it. It's an artifact and you can activate to call an ancient dragon for help.

You can:
Follow the coins, knowing treasure in these mountains always comes with teeth and fire.
Climb the ladder, toward the last part of the Mountains of Ash, but you don't have anything to offer if you find a guardian or you have to bargain for the stone.
Activate the artifact and call an ancient dragon for help, you can call, but... he will help you?
