One day, you wake up and realize your alarm didn’t go off… you’re running late for your degrading and horrible office job, where you’re overworked and exploited! You probably came home so exhausted the day before that you completely forgot to set the alarm.
You quickly get dressed, grab your things, and rush out of your house without even eating. You don’t even take the time to look both ways as you cross the streets of the crowded city to catch the next train. And before you know it, a terrible pain surges through your entire body, you taste blood in your mouth, and everything starts to blur… You see shadows of people approaching you, and hear voices. Is someone calling an ambulance? Is someone calling a doctor?
One last thought crosses your mind before you black out completely: "I hope my next life goes better…"
The next thing you feel is a gentle warmth bathing your face. The smell of trees and nature, a smell you hadn’t experienced in years, living in a polluted city devoid of green spaces. You hear the sound of birds and a nearby stream flowing.
You open your eyes and find yourself in what seems to be a clearing. New memories flood your mind, memories of another life that isn’t yours… You are a shapeshifter, a being who can take the form of any race or sex…
Races? Which races? Images flash through your mind of people who look nothing like the humans you knew… Pointy-eared individuals, people with green, red, or any imaginable skin tone, some with horns, wings, sharp teeth, some much taller or shorter than the average person from your "human" life…
You also recall what kind of world this is. It’s a Medieval World with magic, mythical creatures, and kingdoms...but also one filled with perversion and darkness.
As you try to remember as much as possible from the memories stored in this new body, you hear loud noises not too far from where you are…
